1 pkg. (.25 oz.) yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup salad oil
2 cups buttermilk
5 cups self rising flour
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. soda
Recipe
Heat oven to 400ºF (200ºC). Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil and buttermilk. Sift flour, sugar and soda in a bowl. Add liquid. Put in covered bowl. Pinch off small balls as needed. Bake. Will keep up to 3 weeks, kept refrigerated
