List of Ingredients
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups milk
2 2/3 cups flour
4 T. sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking power
2 teaspoons baking soda
shortening
confections' sugar
Recipe
Beat eggs and add milk. Sift flour, sugar, salt, baking power, and
baking soda together. To these add egg and milk. Beat until smooth.
Holding a finger over bottom of funnel, pour some batter into the funnel.
Drop batter into shortening at 375 degrees, swirling it in circles from
the center outward. Make each cake about 6 inches in diameter. Fry
until golden brown. Turning once. Serve warm with confectioners' sugar.
NOTE: Funnel should have 5/8 inch opening...
