    enough butter for greasing pan
    1 pkg. (12 oz.) frozen hash-brown potatoes
    1/4 cup (1/2 stick) melted butter
    1 cup diced ham
    4 oz. each cheddar cheese, Swiss or Monterey Jack; shredded
    1 can (4 oz.) diced green chilis
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    to taste salsa




    Recipe




    Heat oven to 425º F. Grease 10" pie pan with butter. To save time, hash browns can be baked evening before. Ham, cheeses and chilis can be placed on top and refrigerated overnight. In prepared pie pan, spread hash browns. Brush with melted butter and bake 25 minutes. Layer ham, cheeses and chilis on hash browns. Combine eggs, milk and salt. Pour over ham, cheese and chilis. Bake at 350º 30 - 35 minutes. Place salsa on top before serving.
    Makes 6-8 servings.
