    List of Ingredients




    1 cup packed brown sugar
    6 eggs, beaten
    1/2 cup butter
    1 1/2 cups milk
    2 tablespoons corn syrup
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    12 slices sandwich bread
    1/4 teaspoon salt



    Recipe




    Preheat oven to 350° F. Combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a small saucepan, cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour syrup mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Place 6 slices of bread on top of syrup mixture. Topwith remaining 6 slices of bread. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt,stirring until will blended. Pour egg mixture evenly over bread slices.Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Yield: 6 servings
