    German Apple Cake

    1-1/2 cup flour (not sifted)
    3/4 cup suger
    1 stick butter
    3 apples
    2 egg yolks
    cinnamon powder




    Recipe



    Pour flour, sugar and butter (cut 2 little slices off and save) into 9X9 inch pan.
    Mix them well with finger tips until they become like powder. Press it down.
    Peel apples and quarter them. Slice each quarter into 4 or 5 slices. Place them on top of the doe.
    If they don't fit well, you may need to trim the apple wedges.
    Brush the apples with yolk, place small pieces of butter and sprinke cinnamon powder.
    Bake for exactly 1 hour in 325 degree oven. You should get 12 pieces of apple cake.
