Recipe Introduction


Easy to make..... so very good tasteing.
Also you can make it into balls and roll one in red sugar and another one in green sugar. Either way... they great tasteing.


List of Ingredients





1 - 8 oz. Pkg Pitted Dates, snipped(1 1/3 cup)
1/2 cup Flaked Coconut
1/2 cup sugar
4 tbsp. butter or margarine (1/2 stick)
1 slightly beaten egg
Dash salt
1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 teasp. Vanilla

2 jars fine red sugar crystals
Green frosting



Recipe



In a skillet combine dates, coconuts, sugar, butter, egg and salt.
Cook and stir over medium heat (5-10 minutes) until mixture thickens and bubbles
Remove from heat, stir in cereal, walnuts and vanilla
Cool 10 minutes (or until mixture isn't too hot to handle)
Remove 1 tbsp. of mixture and roll into shape of strawberry
Roll results in red sugar
Trim with green leaves
