    MEAT WITH CHOCOLATE SAUCE

    Source of Recipe

    Suzy

    Recipe Introduction

2 to 2 1/2 lbs of turkey chunks (chicken, or pork work well too) for 5 portions.

    List of Ingredients

Brown the meat in 4 tablespoons of olive oil and place in the crockpot.

Brown a large sliced onion and 3 crushed cloves of garlic and add to the pot.

Then add to the meat, onion, and garlic:

    4 chopped canned tomatoes
1 1/4 cups dry white wine and a glass of brandy

Stir in 2 ounces of grated dark chocolate and:
    1/2 tsp of paprika
2 sprigs of thyme or equivalent dried
    4 sprigs of parsley
    1 bay leaf,
12 large, ready to eat prunes
    A pinch of ground cinnamon

    Recipe

Season lightly with salt and pepper. Make sure there is sufficient liquid to just cover the meat by adding water or stock if needed. Then cook on low for 8 hours.

This isn’t an everyday dish, but if you want something really special for a celebration, this will get rave reviews from all who eat it, and they will never guess there is chocolate there unless you tell them. It just needs a selection of veggies and a salad to make a feast to remember, and it requires minimal time spent preparing it.
