    Hot Bacon n' Cheese Dip

    I make this dip during the fall and winter months. Everytime I do people beg me for the recipe.....especially the guys!

    List of Ingredients





    1 small onion - chopped
    1 clove of garlic - minced
    1 cup Parmesan cheese
    8 oz. shredded Colby Jack cheese
    12 slices of bacon - cooked crisp and crumbled
    1 cup of mayonnaise (NOT Miracle Whip)
    1 Pumpernickle round

    Recipe





    Mix the six ingredients together in a bowl. Scoop out the round, leaving a 1-2 inch shell. Break or cut up bread into dipping size pieces.
    Fill round with bacon and cheese mixture and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

    *Because of the bacon and cheese, this tends to be VERY salty. I use low sodium bacon and rinse it before cooking, which helps quite a bit. Using reduced sodium cheese would help too.
