I believe this is a very old receipe. It taste just lke apple Pie. Even looks like it...Was from WW 2 when things were hard to get.

List of Ingredients

3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch salt
20 crackers, crumbled
1 cup pecans
l tsp. vanilla
whipped cream




Recipe



To stiffly beaten egg whites, add sugar, baking powder, salt,
crackers (crumble by hand for larger crumbs), pecans and vanilla.
Pour into lightly greased 9" pie pan. Bake 30 minutes at 325
degrees. Chill and serve with whipped cream.
