    Short Rib Stew

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/3 cup flour
    • 1/2 seasoned salt
    • 1/4 t. pepper
    • 3 to 4 lbs. beef short ribs
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 cup chopped onions
    • 1 clove garlic chopped
    • 4 cups hot water
    • 1 6oz. can tomato paste
    • 2 T. beef flavor instant Bouillion
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 8 small whole potaoes or 4 med . potoes quarted.
    • 2 cups sliced carrots
    • 1 cup sliced celery
    • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms (about 4 oz..)


    Instructions


    1. combine flour, salt, peper. Add ribs few at a time. Coat. Brown ribs in oil. Remove

    2. Cook onions and garlic in drippings until tender.

    3. Add ribs and water, tomato paste, bouillion and bay leaf.

    4. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

    5. Add potatoes, cook 15 minutes.

    6. Add remaining vegetables, cook 15 more minutes longer until tender.
