1-1/2 lb ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 cans (6 oz. each) rtomato paste
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (14-1/2-oz.) stewed tomatoes
1 tbsp. each Italian seasoning,.Worcestershire© sauce
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup waterRecipe
Brown beef in a large, heavy bottomed pot, then drain off fat. Add onion, green pepper and garlic, sautè until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, seasonings and water. Simmer 30 minutes. Let cool. Sauce will keep several days, covered and refrigerated. Serve with spaghetti or your favorite pasta. Makes 6-8 servings.
