Fried Oyster A La Creole

6 to 8 oysters per person
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
brad crunbs, cracker crumbs or cornmealRecipe
select from large oysters for frying.
drain and dry
combine eggs, milk and seasonings.
dip oysters 1 by 1 in mixture and roll gently in crumbs.
patting lightly.
fry in deep hot shortening. (350 Degrees) 3 to 5 mintues
or golden brown. Drain ...serve with lemon slices.
