Lisa's Bacon Stuffed Artichokes

1 pound of bacon
couple toes of glaric
italian bread crumbs
parmesan and romana cheese
lemon juice
olive oil

I fry and finely chop 1 lb. of bacon. I chop couple of toes of garlic. I mix in a bowl the bacon, garlic, italian bread crumbs and parmesan and romana cheese, lemon juice and olive oil.
I cannot tell you the exact ingredients because I don't think I measure. The mixture needs to be crumbly moist. I prepare the artichokes by clipping top part of the leaves and pounding it on the counter to open it up a little bit. (upside down). I stuff each leaf with mixture starting at the bottom. I steam them on the stove in a pot with 1 to 2 inches of water with lid on. ( I recently found some articoke steamer contraptions but I have not used them yet.)
I think they may be nice. One important thing, when steaming is to add lemon juice and olive oil to the water and drizzle on top of each artichoke. Steaming takes about 30 to 45 mintues. So keep adding water as needed.
For ham stuffed articokes: same as above, replace bacon with ham.
For shrimp stuffed artickoes: same as above,replace chopped shrimp. ( if doing strimp, I fry down little onion and add to mixture)
