    1 can oysters
    sage, iuf desired

    for a chicken, pour boiling water over 1 quart of stale crumbs.

    let steam, then drain off.

    add one well-beaten egg.

    2 tablespoons of butter, salt. pepper.
    then add 1 can of oysters. season with sage, if desired.
