Red Beans and Rice

List of Ingredients
2 lbs. red beans (camille brand)
1 small onion or 1/2 large onion grated
1/4 bell pepper. grated
2 stalks celery, cut in chunks
6 pieces of bacon
1 lb. Hillshire original sausage
4 or 5 tablespoon of margarine
salt and pepper to taste
lots of garlic powderRecipe
soak red beans over night at lease 8 hours.
add salt and pepper, lots of garlic powder.
fry bacon until crisp. drain and let cool.
reserve bacon grease.
add celery. then crumble bacon into little pieces and put in beans.
add margarine. I put my beans in pressure cooker and cook 30 minutes after begins to rattle. You can cook on stove. Removed from pressure cooker after 30 minutes.
fry onions and bell pepper in bacon grease. add to beans.
cut sausage into bite pieces. cook about 30 to 40 minutes longeron top of stove, uncovered.
cook rice and serve over beans.
