I have used this for years and years....


List of Ingredients




2 1/4 cup Flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
1 Cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon milk



Recipe



Mix flour, salt, baking powder together.
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
Then the dry ingredients and milk. And Chill.
Take 1 Tablespoon of cookies and roll each one in hands.
Place on baking sheet. Stamp with flat glass
that was dip in sugar each time. I usually start out putting
a bit of shorting on the bottom of the glass.
Bake 375 degrees about 12 minutes.
Should make about 2 or 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

If you like chocolate cookies, add 2 oz. square chocolate
melted to creamed mixture.

You can sprinkle with color sugar before cooking
and afterwards can put icing on them
Wonderful for Christmas or......... anytime....LOL
