6 cups water
2 tbsp. each soy sauce, Heinz© chili sauce
1 tsp. ginger, ground
5/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 pkg. instant noodle soup (ramen)
2-1/2 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
3 carrots, peeled, sliced
1/2 cup each frozen sugar snaps pea pods; corn, frozen
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/2 lb. steak, cooked, thinly sliced *
4 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp. dark sesame oil
Recipe
Mix water, soy sauce, chili sauce, ginger, pepper and 1 seasoning packet from noodles in a large saucepan (reserve other packet for other use). Bring to a simmer; add cabbage and carrot; cook 5 minutes. Add mushrooms, corn, pea pods and both pkg. noodles; simmer 3 minutes. Add beef and green onion. Heat through; stir in sesame oil. Makes 4 servings.
*Note: Cooked, chopped chicken or pork may be used instead of beef.
