    GERMAN POTATO SALAD

    List of Ingredients

    10 lbs. red potatos
    1 lb. bacon
    5 or 5 oz. ham fat
    1/2 bunch cellery
    3 oz. yellow onions
    1/2 green pepper
    1 small jar pememtos (not necessary)
    1 to 1 1/2 cups Cider vinegar
    about 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar
    1 cup hot water
    salt and pepper to taste

    Recipe

    Dice and fry bacon
    dice celery, bell pepper, onion, and add to sliced potatoes.
    Mix vinegar, sugar, and add hot water. Mix well.
    Aadd to bacon fat and bring to boil.Pour over patoes and mix well.
    Serve warm.
    Serves about 20 to 25 persons.
