1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 tsp soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup blackberry jam
1/2 cup apple juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cloves
1 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Sift flour with spices and salt. Add soda to buttermilk and stir well. Fold in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk mixture. Add juice. Mix in jam and nuts. Pour into 3 greased and floured 9 inch pans or 13x9 inch pan greased and floured. Bake at 325° for 35 to 40 minutes.
