Marinated flank steak
List of Ingredients
1/2 c soy sauce
1/4 c oil
2 T molasses
2 t powdered ginger
2 t dry mustard
6 cloves of garlic, pressed
1-2 lb flank steakRecipe
1. Mix all the ingredients, except steak, and set aside.
2. Remove any surface fat off of flank, and place, whole in a marinating pan. Pour marinade over top.
3. Put in fridge for 24 hours(at least) turning over pan every 8 hrs or so, so both sides get soaked.
4. Next day, heat up the BBQ, on high. Sear both sides of the flank, then turn down heat and cook to your desired doneness.
5. When done, let sit about 5 minutes, then slice into strips.
I serve this with rice, or sometimes baby potatoes; boiled, then coated with butter and garlic.
*note* This can be cooked on the stove top too, it cooks well in a good ol' cast iron pan.
