    Million Dollar Macaroons

    Source of Recipe

    Aunt Annie

    List of Ingredients

1 14 oz bag of shredded coconut (about 5 cups)
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
    1/2 cup flour
    3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3/4 teaspoon almond extract
    1 lb of dark chocolate

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets lightly.
Mix the shredded coconut vanilla and almond extract, condensed milk, and the flour with a spoon until are well-combined, use a 1 1/4-inch sorbet scoop to mold the macaroons. Press the macaroon mixture firmly into the scoop, then turn it out onto a sheet pan. Bake the macaroons for 12 to 15 minutes or until you see the top of the macaroons beginning to turn light brown. Remove the macaroons from the oven and let them cool for 3 minutes, then remove from pan.
As the macaroons cool, melt the chocolate in the microwave, or double boiler. Place cooled macaroons on waxed paper, and dip the bottom of them into the chocolate. With remaining melted chocolate, drizzle over top the macaroons, and let cool completely.
