    Pumpkin Cookies

    Cream together: 1 c sugar
    1 c crisco shortening
    1 egg
    Add to the bowl:
    2 c flour - do not sift
    1 c pumpkin
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp vanilla
    Drop by tspful onto cookie sheets and bake 350 for approx 10 - 12 min.
    You might want to ice with vanilla or cream cheese frosting.
    Makes 3 dozen.
