Grandma taught me how to make this when we visited for Christmas.
List of Ingredients
10 Granny smith apples, peeled and sliced thin
3/4 C sugar
3/4 C br. sugar
3 T flour
1 t cinnamon
1/8 t each: nutmeg, cloves and ginger
Recipe
Cook apples down in a big pot on med. low. Gently whisk dry ingredients together in a separate bowl, then add to the apples. Cood down a little more. You don't want the apples too mushy, but not crisp either. Pour apples into crust and top with pats of butter. Add swirled top crust and gently pat with milk. Sprinkle crust lightly with sugar. Make foil hat for crust. Bake for 25 minutes at 375. Remove foil and bake for approx. 20 more minutes.
