    This recipe has been a Scirica favorite for a long time. Gramy hand wrote out this recipe for me when I first got married in 1983.

    List of Ingredients




    1/4 c butter
    2 c xxx sugar
    3 c flaked coconut
    1/4 c light cream
    1 6 oz (1 cup) pkg choc. chips
    2 t shortening

    Recipe



    In saucepan, slowly heat butter until golden brown; gradually stir in sugar, coconut and cream. Drop by teaspoonfulls onto waxed paper. Refrigerate until easy to handle, then shape into "peaks" or cones.
    Over hot (not boiling) water, melt choc. chips and shortening (use double boiler). Stir until smooth. Dip bottoms of the peaks inot the melted chocolate and let harden on waxed paper.
