1 c and 2 T butter, softened
1 1/2 c vegetable oil
1 1/2 c xxx sugar
1 1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 t vanilla
2 1/4 t lemon extract
6 c flour
1 1/2 t cream of tartar
1 1/2 t salt

Recipe
Preheat oven to 375. With a whisk, stir together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, oil, and sugars until well blended. Stir in the eggs, vanilla and lemon extracts. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until well blended. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls and place on cookie sheet. Flatten with cookie press. Sprinkle with decorating sugars if you do not plan to frost them. Or, refrigerate dough until easier to work with, then roll out and use cookie cutters to cut into shapes.
Bake 9-12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
