    List of Ingredients


    • 6 eggs
    • 2 quarts half and half
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1-1/2 teaspoon almond extract
    • 2 cups chopped pistachio nuts
    • Green food coloring


    Instructions


    1. Combine eggs and 1/2 of half and half in large saucepan; beat with wire whisk until blended. Add sugar and salt.
    2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly about 10 minutes or until mixture is thickened. Let cool, stir in rest of half and half.
    3. Place in ice cream freezer and freeze until mixture is mushy. Add almond extract and nuts. Tint with green food coloring. Freeze as directed by machine.
