Meatballs with Mixed Vegetables

- 1 (10 oz. pkg.) frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 t. dry mustard
- 1/2 t. celery seed
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/4 t. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 t. pepper
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 T. shortening
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
- 3/4 c. milk
Instructions
- Rinse frozen vegetables under cold water to separate; drain.
- Mix egg, milk, bread crumbs, mustard, celery seed, salt, nutmeg, pepper, onion and ground beef. Shape into 1-1/2 inch balls. Heat shortening in skillet. Cook meatballs in shortening until done. Remove meatballs from skillet and drain.
- Mix Cream of Mushroom soup and milk together in skillet then add mixed vegetables. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Add meatballs, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
