Blueberry Lemon Tea Bread

- 1 stick margarine, softened
- 1-1/3 c. sugar, divided
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 2 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1-1/2 c. blueberries
- 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two loaf pans.
- Beat margarine and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs to margarine mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Alternating add flour and milk, mixing just until blended. Gently stir in blueberries. Spoon batter into loaf pans.
- Bake 1 hour or until toothpick come out clean. Cool 10 minutes then remove from pan. Prick top and sides of warm bread.
- Mix lemon juice and sugar to make a glaze. With a pastry brush, brush top and sides of bread with lemon glaze.
