Barbequed Beef Brisket

List of Ingredients
- 7 to 8 lb. beef brisket
- 4 T. liquid smoke
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- SAUCE:
- 1-1/2 T. brown sugar
- 7 oz. catsup
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 T. liquid smoke
- 2 T. worcestershire sauce
- 1-1/2 t. dry mustard
- 1 t. celery seed
- 3 T. butter
- dash of salt and pepper
Instructions
- Rub liquid smoke on the outside of brisket. Wrap in foil and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning rub the brisket with onion powder and garlic powder and rewrap in foil. Bake in 300 degree oven at least 5-1/2 hours. Let cool and pour off fat. Slice when cooled.
- Pour sauce over sliced meat. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- SAUCE:
Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil then turn heat down and simmer for about 30 minutes.
