Hi everyone!!! I would love some new and old Soul Food recipes. If any body like to contribute, it is so much appreciated. I will share recipes with every one. There are so many good Soul dishes in every culture. I am from the south but we like so many Soul Food dishes.
And the Holiday's are coming. This is a good oppertunity to share some of the great dishes with everyone.


List of Ingredients







2 large yams or sweet potatoes
1 cube of butter
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup of sugar
2 large eggs
1/4 to a 1/2 cup of milk
1 pie shell, unbaked







Recipe



Cook potatoes in jackets untill well done. Peel and mash potatoes. Then add other ingredients for filling, adding milk last (add only enough milk to make pie mixture a thick mush). Pour in pie shell and bake at 350 degree untill crust is brown and top of pie is brown and the pie mixture is thick and firm.
