KRINGLE STICK COFFEE CAKE
Source of Recipe
An old family favorite
1 C butter or margarine
2 C flour
1 C sour cream
1 egg white
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C chopped walnuts
Cut butter into flour(as for pie crust); add sour cream, mix. Chill for 2 or more hours. Divide pastry into 4 parts. Roll each part on floured board into a 6x12 in. rectangle.
FILLING:
Beat 1 egg white stiff; gradually add sugar and vanilla, beat. Add nuts. Spoon 1/4 of filling lengthwise down the center of each pastry rectangle. Fold sides to meet in center. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 for 20 min. Make thing confectioners sugar icing with water and drizzle over pastries while warm. Cut each into 8 pieces.
