    Famous Horserace Pie


    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
    ½ cup (1 stick) butter
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 cup flour
    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 cup pecans, chopped

    Recipe








    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Cream butter, sugar, and eggs. Add vanilla. Gradually mix in flour. Stir in chocolate chip and pecans.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell. Place on baking sheet and put foil around the edge of the crust so it won't burn.
    Bake for 30-45 minutes, until top is nicely browned. Remove from oven.
    Let set at least 2 hours before serving.
