    Strawberry Pretzel Salad

    A holiday family favorite

    List of Ingredients





    2 cups salted pretzels, crushed
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    3 TBS plus 1 cup sugar, divided
    8 oz pgk cream cheese, softened
    12 oz whipped topping (I substitute whipping cream)
    3 oz pkg strawberry jello
    2 cups boiling water
    2 10 oz pkgs frozen strawberries, thawed

    Recipe





    Mix together pretzels, butter and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Press in the bottom of a 13 by 9 inch baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes; let cool. Beat cream cheese and sugar; add whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust and refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; add strawberries and mix well. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes and pour over cheese layer. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
