    We used to eat these pickles like candy they were so yummy.

    List of Ingredients




    6 quarts of green cukes (small ones diced)
    1 quart of onions
    2 sweet peppers (red ones or green)
    sprinkle above mixture with salt

    1 quart cider vinegar
    pickling spice
    5 C sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. tumeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed

    Recipe



    Boil vinegar and spices with cukes and onions for about 7 minutes.

    Fill pint jars and process for about 10 minutes to seal.

    PS. this recipe can be cut in 1/2 for smaller quantities
