Recipe Introduction
These were always one of my dad's favorites.
List of Ingredients
1 Lb. Butter or Butter flavor Crisco(you cant use margarine anymore because of the high water content)
1 Tbsp. almond extract (or mom used whiskey sometimes)
1/4 C. crushed walnuts
5 C flour
1/2 C sugar
Cream butter, sugar and extract. Add nuts and slowly add the flour.
Mix all ingrediants and shape into balls about 1" or so around. Bake at 300 for 10-15 minutes. As soon as you take them out of the oven, shake them in a bag of powdered sugar to coat them. It will result in a "frosting" on the cookies. Let Cool.
