    Recipe Introduction

These have been a favorite at many a "after Memorial" dinner and many other occasions.

    List of Ingredients

    3 egg yolks well beaten
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp sour cream
    1 1/2 C flour (more or less)
    Oil for frying
    Confectioners sugar

In a large bowl, mix beaten egg yolks and sugar until light in color. Fold in the sour cream, sugar and enough flour to make dough firm enough to roll out thin. You may want to put your dough into the fridge for about half and hour, so it will be easier to handle and roll out. cut out in diamond shapes with a small slit in the middle of each. Pull the end of one side through the slit. Fry in hot oil or Crisco until nice and brown. Drain for a minute on paper towels and then put in a small paper bag into which power sugar has been put. Gently shake, putting on a plate and serve with hot coffee.
