    List of Ingredients




    Pastry:
    2 sticks of butter
    6 oz cream cheese
    2 1/4 C flour

    Filling:
    Poppy seeds about 1 C
    3/4 C raisins
    1 C sugar

    Recipe



    Mix together butter, cream cheese and flour slowly. Divide dough into 3 and put in the refrigerator over night or up to 24 hours.

    Grind the poppy seeds and add the raisins and sugar. (Sue's note: i'd toss in a drop of dark rum too.. maybe 2 Tbsp.)

    Roll the dough out into a rectangle. Spread the poppy mixture onto the dough. Roll in a jelly roll fashion and let raise for 30 minutes. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes.

    Grandma also used to drizzle a glaze (powder sugar and milk) onto the top..
