    List of Ingredients




    3 lbs. round or rump steak
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 C bacon fat
    2 strips bacon, chopped
    2 onions finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1 lb. mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
    1 C cooked tomatoes

    Recipe



    Sprinkle the beef with salt and pepper and pound it well. Brown the meat quickly in fat on all sides. Meanwhile, fry the bacon strips, onion and parsley and mushrooms until lightly brown.

    Combine the meatn and mushroom mixture; add the tomatoes and simmer until the sauce is thick and the meat is tender.
