    Make fresh and freeze. Great on the Ceasar Salad recipe.


    List of Ingredients


    • 5 slices firm white or 6 slices French bread
    • 2 Tbsp butter
    • 2 Tbsp olive oil
    • 1 clove of garlic (minced)


    Instructions


    1. Dice the bread into 1/2 inch cubes.
    2. In a large saute pan over medium heat, heat the butter and the olive oil.
    3. Add minced garlic and saute 1 minute to marry flavor into the oil.
    4. Add the bread crumbs and stir until well coated with butter and garlic mixture.
    5. Transfer bread cubes to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and spread in a single layer.
    6. Bake until lightly browned and crisp (25-30 minutes)
    7. Cool and store in an air tight container or freezer.


    Final Comments


    Herbs can be added to the butter/oil mixture for additional flavor.
