Recipe Introduction
Make fresh and freeze. Great on the Ceasar Salad recipe.
List of Ingredients
- 5 slices firm white or 6 slices French bread
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Dice the bread into 1/2 inch cubes.
- In a large saute pan over medium heat, heat the butter and the olive oil.
- Add minced garlic and saute 1 minute to marry flavor into the oil.
- Add the bread crumbs and stir until well coated with butter and garlic mixture.
- Transfer bread cubes to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and spread in a single layer.
- Bake until lightly browned and crisp (25-30 minutes)
- Cool and store in an air tight container or freezer.
Final Comments
Herbs can be added to the butter/oil mixture for additional flavor.
