Grandma Minnie's Cut Out Sugar Cookies

Recipe Introduction
This is the traditional Christmas Cookie for cut outs. Note you will need to let dough sit in fridge over night before cutting and baking.
List of Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Butter Flavored Crisco
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp milke (plus another 1 tsp milk)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour - all purpose
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Cram the butter flavored crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
- Beat in the egg.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- Mix into the creamed mixture.
- COVER and REFRIGERATE overnight.
- When ready to bake - heat the oven to 375
- Roll half the dough at a time to about 1/8 inch thick on floured surface.
- Cut into desired shapes.
- Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with colored sugar and decors or leave plain to frost.
- Bake at 375 for 7 to 9 minutes.
- Cool slightly anr remove to a cooling rack.
