WILD RICE HOT DISH

Takes about six hours.
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups wild rice (uncooked)
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup onions - chopped
- 1/2 cup celery - chopped
- 8 oz can of mushroom pieces - drained
- 2 cups chicken breasts - cut up
- 6 cups of chicken broth
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
- Wash and drain the wild rice.
- Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker - Mix well.
- Cover - Cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours or until the rice is finished. DO NOT REMOVE THE LIDE BEFORE ALL THE RICE HAS COOKED - at least 4 hours.
