Recipe Introduction
This recipe has added, fancied and doctored in many way. Some good - some not so good! However this is the original, no fuss, no fancy pumpkin pie recipe. This with a big dollop of whipped cream is what it's all about!
List of Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 2 large eggs
- 1 can (15oz) 100% pure pumpkin
- 1 can (12oz) Evaporated Milk
- 1 UNBAKED 9 inch deep dish pie shell
Instructions
- Mix together the sugar, salt and pumpkin pie spice in a small bowl.
- Beat eggs in large bowl.
- Stir in pumpkin and sugar spice mix into the egg mix.
- Gradually stir in the evaporated milk.
- Pour into the pie shell.
- In a preheated 425 degree oven bake the pie for 15 minutes.
- Reduce the temp to 350 and bake 40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Cool on wire rack for two hours.
