    Recipe Introduction


    The Blind Dog's Bread Pudding. Is it as good as the Bon Ton Bread Pudding? You be the judge.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 Tbsp Butter
    • 1 loaf pound cake (cubed)
    • 1 loaf brioche (cubed)
    • 4 cups heavy cream
    • 4 eggs
    • 4 egg yolks
    • 1 vanilla bean
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 400.
    2. Beat the eggs, yolks, and add cream.
    3. Split the vanilla bean and scrape out vanilla seeds. Add to cream mixture.
    4. Stir in both types of sugar. Reserve a Tbsp of each for the top.
    5. Stir in brioche and pound cake. Allow the bread and pound cake to sit in the cream mixture until completely absorbed.
    6. Butter the insdie of a baking dish
    7. Add the pudding mixture
    8. Sprinkle sugar on top
    9. Set in a water bath of boiling water
    10. cook for 45 minutes


    Final Comments


    If it seems to be getting too brown in the oven, cover it with foil
