    Recipe Introduction


    Chai Tea spices - ginger, cinnamon, cardamom will flavor this pudding!


    List of Ingredients


    • 5 cups whole milk
    • 1 cup arborio rice (about 6 1/2 oz) or medium grain white rice.
    • 2/3 cup sugar
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped crystallized ginger (about 1 1/2 oz)
    • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
    • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
    • Unsweeted whipped cream


    Instructions


    1. Stir milk, rice, sugar, and salt into a heavy large saucepan over a hight heat until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil.
    2. Reduce heat to medium low and gently simmer uncovered until pudding is thick and rice is tender, stir frequently (about 45 minutes)
    3. Mix in ginger and spices.
    4. Spoon warm pudding into bowls and top with a dollop of cream and serve HOT.
