    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe moves pretty quick - so it's best to have your ingredients lined up and ready to go before you start.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 lbs raw shrimp (frozen raw) peeled, deveined and take the tails off.
    • 2 tbsp cornstarch
    • 1/2 tsp Accent
    • 1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil (enough to coat pan)
    • 2 tbsp water
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • salt to taste (about 1/2 tsp)
    • 1/2 bag of frozen peas
    • 1 can mushroom bits with juice
    • 2 tsp sherry
    • Chow Mein Noodles


    Instructions


    1. Remove tails from the shrimp if not already done.
    2. Make a mixture of 1 tbsp cornstarch and the Accent.
    3. Coat the shrimp with the cornstarch and Accent mix.
    4. Make a mixture of the remaining 1 tbsp cornstarch and 2 tbsp water - stir and set aside to dissolve.
    5. Heat oil to a wok or stri fry pan - heat. Add shrimp to hot pan and cook only 1 minute over a high heat. Stir and mix constantly.
    6. Add the soy sacue.
    7. Add the salt
    8. Remove from the fire and put into a bowl, set aside.
    9. Add the raw peas and mushrooms (with juice) to the same cooking wok or pan. Salt.
    10. Cook about 1 minute over high heat - stir constantly.
    11. Remove from heat.
    12. Return the shrimp to the pan with the mushrooms and peas. Place back on heat.
    13. Add the sherry.
    14. Stir in the cornstarch and water mixture you have sittting aside. Cook for only a VERY SHORT TIME. Just enough to thicken.
    15. Serve over chow mein noodles.


    Final Comments


    Chow means "STIR" and Shia is "SHRIMP"
