    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb raw peeled and cleaned shrimp (fresh best - frozen will work)
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 1/3 cup oil
    • 1 cup hot water
    • 1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
    • 1/2 cup chopped green onions and tops
    • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
    • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp crushed whole thyme
    • Dash of cayenne pepper
    • 2 whole bay leaved
    • 1 lemon slice
    • 2 cups rice


    Instructions


    1. Cut larger shrimp in half
    2. Blend flour into oil and brown stirring constantly.
    3. Add hot water gradually and cook until thick and smooth. Contiue to stir constantly.
    4. Cook the rice in seperate a pan according to directions.
    5. Add all the remaining ingredients to the flour and oil mix.
    6. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
    7. Remove bay leaves and serve over rice.
