Sauerkraut Meatloaf

Recipe Introduction
A favorite of St George, Minnesota. Grandma would make this when they owned the tavern and store, dad said it was a Sunday favorite with beer and mashed potatoes.
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups soft unseeded rye bread
- 1 (16oz) can sauerkraut (drained)
- 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp caraway seed
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 2 Tbsp catsup
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350
- In a large bowl combine ALL ingredients (except the meat) - Mix Well.
- Add the ground beef and mix thouroughly.
- Pat into a thick flat loaf approximately 10 inches long by 8 inches wide and place on a rack in greased or foiled lined 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Bake for 1 1/4 hours or until nicely browned.
- Let stand for 10 minutes prior to slicing.
