Linguine in Clam Sauce

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic - minced and pressed
- 3 (6 1/2 oz) cans of chopped clams
- 1 tsp oregano leaves
- 1 tsp dry basil
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1 lb linguine
- Boiling Salted Water
Instructions
- In a 2 qt pan over medium low heat, melt butter in olive oil.
- Add garlic and cook until golden.
- Drain the juice from at least 2 of the cans of clams into the butter mixture. (You can use 3 if like a juicier sauce for soaking garlic bread)
- Add oregano, basil, and the the crushed red pepper and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Add the drained clams, parsley and simmer about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile have the linguine cooking per the package directions in a large saucepan until al dente.
- Drain and toss the linguine with the clam sauce.
- Serve with fresh grated Parmesan cheese and garlic bread.
