    Mom's W&W Rice (White and Wild)

    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe was marked by mom "Easy and Good" from Jean Polta.


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cups white rice
    • 1/4 cup wild rice
    • 1 carrot (sliced into THIN coins)
    • 1/4 cup onion (chopped)
    • Salt to taste
    • 5 chicken bouillon cubes
    • 2 cups warm water
    • 1 Tbsp bacon grease OR butter


    Instructions


    1. In warm water dissolve the bouillion.
    2. Add the bacon grease (or butter), onions, carrots, and salt to bouillion.
    3. Bring to a boil.
    4. Add the rices and mix well - stir with a fork to separate.
    5. Cover and simmer (lowest heat) for 25 mintues.
    6. DO NOT LOOK AND UNCOVER UNTIL THE TIME GOES OFF - 25 MINUTES COVERED!


    Final Comments


    The DON'T LOOK was underlined in RED - so I guess it's pretty important!
