    A Schnobrich Thanksgiving Favorite!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 Head of Iceberg Lettuce
    • 4 stalks of celery diced
    • 1 Bermuda Onion
    • 1 box of frozen peas cooked and cooled
    • 1/2 cup Sugar
    • 1/2 lb bacon
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1 cup Miracle Whip


    Instructions


    1. Cook the frozen peas and let cool.
    2. Chop the iceberg lettuce and celery, slice the Bermuda onion into rings.
    3. Add the vegetables together with 1/2 cup sugar. Mix well, then wash and drain.
    4. Cover in a large salad bowl and let stand in the refrigerator overnight.
    5. The next day fry 1/2 lb bacon, crumble and allow to cool.
    6. Drain and squeeze out salad. Add the cool bacon.
    7. Add 1/2 cup sour cream and 1 cup miracle whip. TOSS WELL!


    Final Comments


    This is a salad that even gets better after a few days in the fridge - great for leftovers with a Thanksgiving turkey sandwich!
